The Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) will hold its 40th Congregation for the conferment of Degrees and Award of Diplomas by the Chancellor, Rt. Rev. Charles Kasonde, virtually on Friday, 29th October, 2021 starting at 8.00 a.m. The Theme for this year’s graduation is “Education for actualizing life’s purpose and global citizenship”.
The Guest of Honour will be CPA Nancy Gathungu, CBS, Auditor-General of the Republic of Kenya
This year, the University will be graduating close to 3000 graduands both from the University itself as well as its constituent and affiliate colleagues including Tangaza, Marist and Hekima University Colleges, Don Bosco College, Theological Pastoral Institute-Rauya, Christ The King Major Seminary, Spiritan Missionary Seminary, Association of Sisterhoods of Kenya (AOSK) Chemchemi ya Uzima Institute (ACCUI), Consolata Institute of Philosophy, Institute of Religious Studies – Asmara and Catholic University of South Sudan among others.
The graduates have completed courses in various fields including Theology, Law, Business, Nursing, Education, Natural Sciences, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Arts, Economics, Social Work, Political science, Development studies, International Relations, Counselling Psychology, Canon Law, Justice and Peace as well as Regional Integration among others.
The University which has two campuses – Langata and Eldoret, has ensured continuity in learning amidst COVID 19 by leveraging technology for online learning during the lock down period and now blended learning which combines both online and on-site learning.
