Dates: 11th to 13th May 2021
The Covid-19 pandemic has affected numerous spheres of human and social life of the people globally. These include health, education, employment, economy etc. The consequences of the pandemic have been enormous and it continues to affect global education. UNESCO cited by Education International (2020) noted that at the height of the pandemic, schools, universities, and other learning institutions were closed in more than 190 countries, disrupting the education of 1.6 billion students with hundreds of millions of children and youth unable to continue their learning. Several emerging issues have come to fore with the return to school. Globethics.net East Africa programme in collaboration with The Catholic University of Eastern Africa: Centre for Social Justice and Ethics is organising an online conference under the theme “Covid-19 Emerging Ethical Issues in Higher Education: Experiences, Challenges, Solutions.” It is hoped that this conference will attract a wide participation from all disciplines.
