Must satisfy the minimum University entry requirement and departmental requirements for the subject applied for.
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education holders must have a minimum mean grade of C+.
Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education GCE or A-levels applicants must have at least 2 principal passes or its equivalent and must have passed in subjects related to the course applied for.
Applicants for Bachelor of Laws must have KCSE Certificate with minimum mean grade of C+ (Plus) or the equivalent OR
Kenya Advanced Certificate of education with a minimum of 2 principal passes and a subsidiary in general paper with a total of 10 points or the equivalent OR
Diploma or professional certificate in a relevant discipline from an institution recognized by the Senate OR
A Bachelors Degree from a recognized university AND
A minimum grade of B- Minus in English at KCSE or the equivalent.
Advanced Diploma in Planning and Management of Development Projects applicants must have an Ordinary Diploma from a recognised Institution
All applicants must have satisfied the minimum University entry requirement in their country and also meet departmental requirements for the subject applied for.
Candidates from non-English speaking countries shall be required to pass a special entrance examination set by CUEA and demonstrate proficiency in a written and spoken English or have acquired a TOEFL score of 530 (paper based test) OR 2.3 [computer based test] or a score of at least 7.0 on the international English language Test System or their equivalent.
Bachelor of Commerce applicants must have a minimum grade of C plain in both Mathematics and English
Bachelor of Science applicants in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry must have a minimum grade of C plain in Mathematics and in both Biology and Chemistry
Bachelor of Science applicants in Computer Science must have a minimum grade of C plain in Mathematics at KCSE.
Bachelor of Education applicants in the following subjects: Business Studies and Economics must have a minimum grade of C plain in both Mathematics and English.
Bachelor of Education applicants in the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Geography must have a minimum grade of C plain in the subject and in Mathematics in KCSE OR
A principal pass in subject(s) and a pass in any other Science subject at A level OR
A Credit in the Subject (s) at Diploma level or its equivalent.
Bachelor of Education applicants with P1 Certificate, or a Diploma in relevant area and have satisfied the departmental entry requirement will be considered for admission.
This is a one semester academic Programme for Secondary School graduates who do not meet the minimum University entry requirement but would like to pursue University Education. The Entry Requirement is a mean grade of C (plain) in KCSE or 5 Credit Passes in IGCSE or its equivalent.

1. Formal application for admission is made on a form obtained from the Admissions Office or downloaded here
2. Complete the application and attach copies of Results Slips, School Leaving Certificates or Transcripts, Diploma or Degree certificates. Submit these together with a non-refundable, non-creditable, Application Fee of Kshs 2,000 in a bankers cheque made payable to The Catholic University of Eastern Africa, or by direct cash deposit in the University's account in any branch of the following banks: Commercial Bank of Africa (A/c No. 6479000011), Cooperative Bank (A/c 2905722200), Equity Bank 061 0292352491 and Sidian Bank (A/c No 01001020010831).
