A group of The Catholic University of Eastern Africa AHEAD Team (Rev. Prof. Gichure, Rev. Dr. Mathenge and Mr. Thaba) attendedthe Second AHEAD Transnational Capacity Building Workshop and AHEAD Fourth Project Management Meeting. The workshop was hosted by Kyambogo University, Kampala-Uganda, from 30th October to 1st November, 2019.The workshop was dedicated to strengthening the impact and quality of the deliverables developed for the on ongoing AHEAD Project through collaborative work and joint activities.
The overall objectiveof the AHEAD Project (African Higher Education Leadership in Advancing Inclusive Innovation for Development) is to enhance the management, governance, teaching, research and evaluation capacities of the Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda Partner Universities in view of enabling them to implement the knowledge triangle and better integrate their research, education and innovation for sustainable development and inclusive growth.
Beside The Catholic University of Eastern Africa, other participating institutions in the AHEAD Project in East Africa are: Kenyatta University, Kibabii University, Kisii University and Mount Kenya University(Kenya), Makerere University, Kyambogo University, and Lira University(Uganda), Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology and The State University of Zanzibar(Tanzania) as well as European Universities of Petru Maior University of Targu-ureş,(Romania), University of Molise, (Italy), University of Social Sciences,(Poland), Birmingham City University,(United Kingdom) and Bulgaria European Center for Quality, (Bulgaria).
The workshop had intriguing blend of presenters that included: Dr. Nikulina, Prof. dr. Stefanescu, Prof.dr.eng. Moldovan, Prof. Sułkowski, Ms. Zając, Ms. Novakova, Dr. Carey, Dr. Domboka, Dr. Zampino, and Mr. Carpenito.
