A CUEA Lecturer has authored a chapter in an international book. Sr. Dr. Lucy Kimaro, is a contributor to the book Food in Zones of Conflict; Cross-Disciplinary Perspectives.
The chapter she authored reads: Engaging Religion in the Quest for Sustainable Food Security in Zones of Conflict in Sub-Saharan Africa. It is the fifth chapter in the book.
Feb 5, 2015: The Catholic Bishop of Ngong Diocese, Rt. Rev. John Oballa Owaa launched the year of consecrated life here at the University.
Speaking at the Thursday community mass which he celebrated, the Bishop said the year of consecrated life “is a moment of grace for the whole church and specifically for those who have consecrated themselves to God through the religious vows”.

Feb 2, 2015: Two CUEA students made an online presentation on Service Learning to a Scholar’s forum in Rome on Service Learning also witnessed by Pope Francis.
The two students; Kimberly Mworia and Brian Nzioka made a case for the University’s initiative at the Kuwinda slums referred to as CUEA for Kuwinda.
The Holy Father Pope Francis, on 19th January 2015, erected the Metropolitan Church sui iuris in Eritrea dividing it from the Metropolitan Archeparchy of Addis Ababa; and appointed the first Metropolitan Archbishop His Excellency Menghesteab Tesfamariam, MCCJ hitherto Eparchial Bishop of Asmara.
