Archbishop-elect Mombasa, Most Rev. Martin Kivuva presided over the launch of the book on “Year of the Priest, faithfulness of Christ, faithfulness of the Priest, 150 years of St. John Marie Vianney” edited by Rev. Prof. Lukwata.

Most Rev. Martin Kivuva thanked the CUEA Faculty of Theology for the reflection on the beauty and demands of ‘the Priestly vocation today’, noting that, “writing about priesthood is a noble task”.

Archbishop Zacchaeus Okoth launched the book “Paths of Development” on January 15, 2015 here at the University.

The Archbishop of Kisumu and Chairman of Justice and Peace Commission, Kenya Conference of Catholic bishops (KCCB) was the chief guest at the event.

The CUEA Chancellor, Most Rev Berhaneyesus Demerew Souraphiel, C.M., Archbishop of Addis Ababa; Ethiopia has been appointed Cardinal.

Information posted online by www.news.va, quoting Vatican radio stated that on Sunday 04 January 2015 at the Angelus, Pope Francis announced the names of fifteen Archbishops and Bishops whom he will raise to the dignity of the Cardinalate on February 14, 2015; among them is Most Rev Berhaneyesus Demerew Souraphiel, C.M., Archbishop of Addis Ababa; Ethiopia and AMECEA Chairman.

The University signed a memorandum of understanding with IESEG (Scientific Institute of Economics and Management*) School of Management from Lille, France, on January 12, 2015.

The MoU initiated by the Faculty of Commerce, will see the exchange of students between the two institutions, exchange of professors, exchange of administrative personnel, joint research projects, conferences and publications, and finally double degree and joint programme development and implementation among other agreed upon activities conducive to the deepening relationship between the two partners.

Ferzana Cocker, a Bachelor of Education (English and English Literature) graduate and MA student of CUEA, launched her first book entitled 'Wild Hearts of The Savannah' at the Sir Ali Muslim Club, Park road - Ngara on Sunday December 7, 2014.

The Novel is a romantic adventure fiction exploring relationships, social and cultural gatherings and affairs of young hearts.
