The Department of Moral Theology organized a book launch on 23rd/03/2018 in the afternoon at Jubilee Hall Auditorium.
The book titled “ Pope Francis on Good Governance and Accountability in Africa” is published by Pauline Publications Africa 2018 and was edited by Rev. Dr. Elias O. Opongo the Director Hekima Institute of Peace Studies and International Relations(HIPSIR), located along Ngong Road in Nairobi Kenya.
The book has ten chapters and brings together articles from different prominent authors who have diverse experience in theology, peace building, ethics, good governance, international relations, accountability, ecology and human rights.
Before the book launch the students of Moral Theology presented a summary of each chapter in the book. An overview of the book by the editor Rev. Dr. Elias Opongo was also highlighted. Equally present was Prof. Macharia Munene who presented insights about Pope Francis. Prof. Macharia spoke of Pope Francis as an outstanding prophet of world peace, religious unity, good governance, and stewardship of creation and a friend of the poor.
After the highlights were presented about the book, there was questions and answer session moderated by Prof. Richard Rwiza. Then the final part was the book launch presided over by a representative of the Daughters of St Paul, the publishers of the book.

The book launch was attended by a good number of CUEA staff,some priests, religious sisters, and some students from Tangaza University College and Hekima University college.
