Hon. Kabando wa Kabando gave a talk on”White Collar Crimes in Kenya” to our Law students on Nov. 17 here at Langata.
The talk aimed at getting the students to understand the challenges, prospects and the way forward to these crimes.
In his speech, he said that white collar crimes have become a global phenomena that requires individuals who will realize the needs of the world and stand firm to deal with the problem.
Quoting from the country’s greatest problem currently, he said that corruption as one of the white collar crimes has eaten up the country. However, he urged the law students from the institution to rise up and form a strong group that can challenge the government in regard to the law when it comes to dealing with the corruption matters.
The talk was targeting the Criminal Law I, Capital Markets Law in East Africa and Constitutional Theory students but it largely attracted the students from other fields of study and the staff as well.
Kabando wa Kabando is the member of Parliament for Mukurweini. He has B.A. in Political Science and a M.A Philosophy (New York).
