This initiative is an annual competition targeting university and college students below 35 years first held in 2012. It underscores the Kenyan academia’s significance in entrenching the standardization agenda in Kenya and has proven an opportunity for students to demonstrate their understanding on standardization and quality infrastructure.
This year’s competition theme is the, “Role of quality infrastructure and standardization in facilitating trade and sustainable development within the African Continental Free Trade Area (CFTA).” It takes place in 3 levels: National, Regional and Continental level.
The 1st competition was held in 2012 and has been going on annually.
Last year’s national winner was Fred Kahi from Mombasa Technical Training Institute. CUEA's Barbara Chebet was 2nd runners up.
