DIPLOMA programmes

One year Advanced Diploma in Business Management (That leads to the two year B’COM degree programme)

Entry Requirements

A holder of a two year ordinary Diploma in Business Management with at least a mean grade of C plain in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent.

Two year Ordinary Diploma in Business Management (That leads to the three year B’COM degree programme)

Entry Requirements

A minimum mean grade of C plain in the KCSE or its equivalent

Undergraduate programmes

Bachelor of Commerce

4-Year Programme

•      A minimum of a mean grade of C+ in KCSE or its equivalent with a C plain in Mathematics and English

•      A Principal pass in the A-Levels in the Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (A-Levels) or GCE A-Level with a minimum grade of C Plain in both Mathematics and English or a credit pass in the two subjects at O-Level in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.

•      Holders of one year diploma from a recognized institution with at least a mean grade of  C (plain) or its equivalent and C Plain or a credit pass in Mathematics and English in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.

3-Year Programme

•      2 years Diploma (from recognized institutions) or 2 principal passes in Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) with at least a mean grade of C (plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or the equivalent and a C plain or a credit pass in Mathematics.

•      Advanced Diploma in ABE with a minimum mean grade of C plain & a minimum grade C plain in English and Mathematics in KCSE or the equivalent.

2-year programme

• Certified professional courses such as ACCA, CFA, CPS, CIPS, CPA, ACII, CIM, CIMA (Post graduate level) AKIB and holders of higher Diplomas by Kenya National Examination Council or their equivalent.

• Higher/Advanced Diploma or first degree in related area with at least a mean grade of C (plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent.

NB:

• Diplomas awarded by Polytechnics, Training institutes and Technical Schools will not be recognised unless they are equated by Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).

• Students with two-year Diploma certificates from recognized institutions will be required to have at least a pass English as a subject requirement.

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION PROGRAMME (MBA)

• A Bachelors Degree from a recognized University with a minimum of Upper Second Class Honours; or
  
  
• A Bachelors Degree from a recognized University with a minimum of Lower Second Class Honours and at least 2 years work experience in a relevant area or full professional qualification in a relevant area; or
  
  
• Any other qualification accepted by the University Senate as equivalent to any of the above.
