The finalist farewell dinner, class of 2013, took place on 26th of April 2013 at the Panari Hotel, Mombasa Road. The guest of honour at the event was Citizen TV’s Catherine Kasavuli. Also in attendance was the Vice Chancellor, Monsignor Dr. Pius Rutechura; DVC Administration, Rev. Prof. Juvenalis Baitu; Dean of Students, Mr. Gideon Maina; Deputy Dean of students, Sr. Dr. Lucy Kimaru; Deputy Registrar, Mr. Caleb Opwora; CUEA staff members from the Dean of Student’s office; and members of the Alumni.

A total of thirty five Universities, Colleges and secondary schools in Kenya took part in the CUEA Annual Sports Festival that was held on 23rd and 24th February at the University grounds, Langata Campus.
The various sports activities that took place include; soccer, volleyball, basketball, netball, rugby, hockey, karate, lawn tennis, table tennis, badminton, darts and cross country marathon. The board games played were chess and scrabble.
Three hundred and seventeen girls from ten high schools took part in the annual computing and mentorship workshop that was held on 2nd February 2013 at CUEA. The theme for the workshop was “preparing and aligning girls for ICT careers in a knowledge based economy.” The guest speakers are women leaders from leading corporates in ICT.
